The Sight Unseen founders are launching their first furniture collaboration this month.

While they may not be household names, Jill Singer and Monica Khemsurov may have together shaped our design tastes even more so than the bold-faced talents they continue to cover and uncover. Their platform, Sight Unseen, started out as a blog and has evolved into a hybrid trend incubator–cum–north star for the collectible design industry, spotlighting emerging makers and teasing out the stories behind some of the most viral decor, be it wavy mirrors or shell objets. In lieu of their annual Sight Unseen Offsite activation (which helped launch the likes of Eny Lee Parker, Katie Stout, and Ben and Aja Blanc), this year Singer and Khemsurov have collaborated with the Long Island furniture brand Bestcase to introduce their first furniture collection, available now on their 1stDibs storefront. We caught up with the cofounders to chat about their new pieces, as well as what continues to inspire and delight them.

It sucks to fall for branding, but Ormaie is not just a beautiful bottle; Les Brumes is truly that good.

This hand-sculpted glass ashtray could also work to hold your keys. It’s really a catchall.

They always stock the perfect expression of whatever is trending, and it’s generally affordable.

A work table that’s chunky or sculptural in one solid color is nice, because it can fit well into any interior.
