Scott Brothers Global and its highly influential home furnishings brand, Drew & Jonathan, have partnered with Visual Comfort & Co. on a multi-category line that includes table, floor, ceiling and wall lighting products.
This is the first partnership between the two companies, who described the collection as “casual and refined.”
“Designers Drew and Jonathan have exhibited their unique talents on numerous levels and have created a tremendous brand with which we are proud to be associated,” said Visual Comfort founder and CEO Andy Singer. “Their focus on quality craftsmanship, inspired design, and remarkable value will make a perfect fit within our Generation Lighting Studio Collection.”
There are eight series in the collection, including six different table lamps in multiple finishes and colors that will be previewed at High Point Market next month: the Cortes and Thurlo series capture the California Coastal aesthetic; and the Porteau and Burkes series provide a more refined Regency Modern feel.
The full collection plus a new series will launch at the Dallas Lightovation Market in January.
In other company news, Bhavya Desai was named chief technology officer in an effort to accelerate Visual Comfort’s digital transformation.
Prior to joining Visual Comfort, Desai spent five years serving in a variety of roles in ecommerce, retail and Infrastructure technology at Ashley Furniture Inc. During his tenure, Desai leveraged technology innovation to drive significant increases in digital and mobile sales, deliver a more frictionless and personalized customer experience, and improved operational efficiency across the entire business. Visual Comfort said. Most recently he worked for Ashley’s largest licensee out of Canada to digitally accelerate the business.
“Bhavya’s leadership and passion for leveraging innovation to enable our growth aspirations will be a difference maker for our company,” Singer said.
