Built in 1894, the house was designed by the architectural firm of Grable and Weber, which designed many prominent local homes of the era, in Italian Renaissance style.

A small bedroom on the second floor was turned into a dressing room. Caldwell-Troutman's uncle, a woodworker, custom made the built-in cabinetry to house her clothing and accessories.

The primary bedroom features rounded walls, painted in Restoration Hardware's Slate. Caldwell-Troutman purchased the period antique chandelier from Jon Paul Designs.

Caldwell-Troutman created a stylish home office in one of the bedrooms on the second floor. A modern desk from RH sits on a hide rug. She purchased the antique settee in New Orleans and had it reupholstered in a rich brown and cream Greek key pattern fabric.

This tiny powder room off the foyer was remodeled with a unique basket-weave tile floor modeled after one Caldwell-Troutman spotted at downtown restaurant Blood & Sand.

Caldwell-Troutman says the enormous formal dining room with original millwork and a coffered ceiling is what sold them on the house. She chose colors and furnishings to give it a more masculine feel, "like a cigar lounge." The antique chandelier was purchased in New Orleans. The dining table and chairs are from Restoration Hardware.

The house is filled with beautiful architectural details like original millwork, seven fireplaces and restored original hardwood floors. Arches and columns frame the staircase in the foyer.

The cozy living room is a favorite spot for conversation with guests and reflects Caldwell-Troutman's blend of classic and contemporary styles. The tufted sofas are from RH and the coffee table is from Pottery Barn.

The remodeled kitchen features a wall of glass-front custom cabinets by Das Holz Haus designed to house Caldwell-Troutman's collection of vintage glassware. Local artist Zack Smithey created the commissioned painting of Abraham Lincoln specifically for the space.

The kitchen underwent a gut remodel in 2018. The navy glazed custom cabinetry was created by Tuscola, Ill.-based Das Holz Haus and is offset by the white marble countertops and backsplash. The hanging globe fixture is by Ralph Lauren.

A cove ceiling painted in Valspar Aged Brass adds drama in this sitting room between the living room and dining room. The sofa, from Anthropologie, is made from an old Turkish rug. The vintage gilt sheaf of wheat coffee table was modeled after one Coco Chanel had in her Paris apartment.
